She is the current Director of Learning and Engagement at the Museum of African American History of Boston and Nantucket. | | I learned how to screen print at the last work day! I came out pretty cool, I will be adding this skill to my practice. |

Howdy ya’ll! I don’t have a ton of updates, but I did play my very first solo set with guitar/voice/electronics in early September after a few years of fleshing out my sonic universe in secrecy. I was quite happy with the process and result, and I am open to playing more shows!
I’ve started using my studio space more for fixing things than making art, and I am looking for paid tasks and skill-share opportunities (or a legitimate career-job).
Please contact me if you have: -cabbages or other fermentable or botanical matter -people desiring a guitar+ instructor -broken or spare tape decks or related parts & electronics -in general need a kind and able-bodied individual for a task
And please let me know if you’d like to see my full resume!
Be well friends, Natalie |

The countdown to my eviction has begun! At the time of writing this, I have 85 days to pack it up and get out! (I’m kidding about the eviction part but, serious about having to pack it up and get out!) It’s been three years for me here at Dirt Palace. I can’t even begin to rationalize the last three years of my life.
I’m currently deep in the throws of preparing for this transition out of DP. This entails a LOT of organizing because I have a great talent of compiling unnecessary shit; physical and non-physical.
Dirt Palace has changed my life in so many ways. I imagine the next 3 months will be deeply introspective for me. I already have found myself in deep reflection about the last chapter of my life. I’m scared for it to be ending, but I’m excited for what’s on the other side!
Before leaving DP, I’ll finish one last project. Details to come! Find me on instagram @n.affisatou @provslam |

I was recently informed that creepy chan is a meme from like… probably over 20 years ago now so making flash of her might not be “relevant” or “cool.” Despite this hardship, Allison Harvard HAS made an appearance on a flash sheet and that is where she will remain <3 |

I have been tattooing a bunch in these months! I’ve gotten to do some really fun customs and flash that I’ve been excited about!
Reconnected with an old friend and got to tattoo her which was so cool?? Crazy that time passes and people are often still there. Love how long this life will hopefully be! |

Been feeling kind of.. Blocked. Still trying to draw things and doodle, but overall… what should I draw? What am I excited to draw? Figuring it out!
Been dealing with health stuff for a little while and that is definitely not helping with All That! Though usually that tends to feel inspiring in its own way? Grieving my body, but can’t give up!
Things can get better?
Haunted house season is Here! I am having a lot of fun doing the airbrush makeup again. It’s such a fun way to get some of the creative juices out! Keep not taking photos of other people’s makeup so the archive is thin, but know that it Is Happening! |
|
|
|
Been doing gel nails! Its really fun to hang and talk with my friends while I paint their nails. I love my connections! Fran is really into it and its exciting to do an art thing in common. |

I got a new tattoo machine after.. So many years! It feels great and works so nice. Happy to finally not have to Put Up with my machine!!
It’s taking a little getting used to because its wider, but overall experiencing the positives of having a machine with set stroke sizes and that doesn’t need my power supply to be up to a million volts just to function. Who knew that sometimes getting better equipment can be good… i must be the first to have discovered this. This is the riveting stuff you come to me for!
My October books are OPEN!! Come get a tattoo<3 |

Coming up fast: A reading at Sweet at Lost bag with Matthew Lawrence & Lindsey Pannor (see Q’s post) next Wednesday. Maybe I will read a story about how Pippi & I became friends because she would be mortified to be in the room for this and probably would heckle me, but since she’ll be in like Germany or something, fair game!! hahahahah… AND Nov 6th at 2220 Arts, yes you’re reading that right - not AS220, but another place in LOS ANGELES with an extra “2”- I’ll be showing some films! Hot off the Internet a new Wild Goose Chase! ROSE ISLAND: 35% bigger at low tide in 1898. (obviously a reference to Hillary Treadwell’s classic T-shirt) |
